January 2004 Rotarian of the Month
This month it is pleasure to introduce the ROTM,
Robert Dann. Robert is a past president of our club and is a very deserving
Paul Harris fellow and is does a superb job at lining up programs as program
chair. Robert was born a long time ago in a galaxy far far away called
Marathon where he played soccer, and learned the Force from a rifle team
coach. His preferred land speeder was a Plymouth Satellite.
From there he went to college at RIT and then he managed the Taverna at Greek Peak for one season prior to setting up the photo department at the Cortland Standard in January of '78. Robert was chief photographer there until July of 1981 when he went to work for the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin as a photojournalist. He also did "stringer" photography for the Associated Press. Robert operated my own studio in Cortland for seven years after leaving the Press & Sun-Bulletin and did a variety of photography there until the recession of the '90's and then took what I thought would be a two year break. Robert starting working in Bainbridge and fell in love with the place as well as a very fine local girl. The rest is history. His interests include art, photography and simply living the good life in Bainbridge. Congratulations to Robert on being January's Rotarian of the Month
