| 8/31/00: Say
"hello" to our newest inbound exchange students. Motoyo
Ishii is 16 and her hometown is Ichikara in the state of Chiba,
Japan. Motoyo is staying with Annette and can be reached at
967-8100. Pictured on right is Manon Chevalier from LaLouviere,
Belgium. She is staying with Michelle Shirkey. |
8/31/00: Dave Derr brought us Hal
Lucius from Washington DC who spoke on the American Heritage River
Initiative. Hal worked for the Feds until he retired. He has
owned a cottage on the Susquehanna near Harpursville for many years.
AHRI was started by Pres. Clinton in 1997 to help restore rivers and river
communities. Mr. Lucius would like input if our area could use an
AHRI project and would appreciate any ideas.

| 9/7/00: Sam DiNoto brought us Steve
Rice, the BGA football coach. Ben Locke, Jason Bryden and John
Stevens, captains of the team, were also guests. Steve said that the
football team has been very successful in the last 4 years with 23-13
record. The coach attributed good athletes, consistent coaching and
the strength training program that the school does all year now.

filled the requirements to apply for Eagle Scout. |
