Chunglo told us about his 1999 trip to Wroclaw, Poland with his wife
Lee. He undertook a few trips around the country, visiting other
Rotary Clubs and points of interest. He met up with Jakub, our

8/17/00: Dave DeClue (pictured here with
President Annette Osborne) gave an interesting program on Bainbridge and
Bainbridge Rotary Club 50 years ago. The club started with 28
members in 1947, met at the Grange first, and initially supported the
farming community. The club changed to a "bulldozer
mentality" in the 60s and 70s and built many projects.
Dave mentioned that the Club should be proud of the fact that we have been
involved with the exchange program since recent Past President Linda was
in school. |
8/24/00: Bill Denman Tour
de France 2000
"Lance" Denman did a program on his hobby
of cycling. Bill took up cycling to keep himself in shape when he
found running was hard on his joints. He rides about 125 miles a week and has
taken a few cycling vacations. He mentioned that drivers here feel that
bicycles are the enemy and rides cautiously and wears a helmet when he
rides. He brought in some his bikes and equipment and described the
difference between road, hybrid and mountain biking. Thanks Bill that
was a wheelie nice program. |
