The Village of Bainbridge Has
a New Nativity.
The Bainbridge Rotary Club joined many others in
contributing to the new Nativity set in the Village Park. The former
Nativity set was destroyed in the flooding suffered by our region this past
summer. Once becoming aware of the dilemma, Pam LeFever spearheaded an
effort to replace the Nativity set in time for the Christmas holiday. The
manger was created at the DCMO Boces Trout Creek center Building Trades
class under the supervision of Dick Metzger. Pam’s family donated the lumber
and solicited donations for the purchase of the new Nativity figures. The
entire effort was a community project with many community members
contributing to the cause. The Bainbridge Rotary Club was pleased to be one
such sponsor. Please visit the Village Park in Bainbridge and enjoy the new
Nativity as well as the other decorations that adorn the park this Christmas
season.

The Community Playground Project
The William Payne Park, next to the town pool, has
served the community well for the last eighteen years, however it needs
repair and updating. The Bainbridge Community Playground Project
Committee was formed in order to address these concerns. Our goal is
to upgrade the existing facility with the support of the Rotary, Lion's
Club and the whole community.
The Playground project has now been completed.

September 23 at the Bainbridge Town Hall.
Highlights:
|

|
| On September 23, 2000, Rotary held their
2nd Annual Small
Business Expo at the Bainbridge Town Hall. Over 15 vendors attended.
Community residents of all ages visited the "Expo" to learn more
about local small businesses. Vendors had many opportunities to make
contacts and had a very successful day. Special thanks to Bainbridge Chamber
of Commerce President Dave Derr, Bainbridge Town Supervisor Hugh Kearney, and Bainbridge
Mayor Andrew Bauerle for attending the ribbon cutting ceremony. |
